Welcome to the Canoeing Club Mikkelin Melojat service information page.

The lake and river environment near Mikkeli is one of the most beautiful and peaceful canoeing places in Finland. Our location in the middle of the Finish countryside and lake area, will make your canoeing holiday a success. We rent kayaks and canoes with full equipment and transportation service at a very reasonable price. If you need rest, before or after your canoeing trip, you can do this at our Canoeing Clubs apartment.

Mikkeli is located 230 kilometres north of Helsinki. If you enter the country in Helsinki, you can take a bus from Helsinki central bus station or train from Helsinki central railway station. Buses and trains are mostly direct starting with 2-3 hour intervals. Of course you can approach by car via Lahti motorway. About two and half hours later we will welcome you to Mikkeli.
You can begin your canoe trip from our Canoeing Clubs beach area (Melapirtti) or other beautiful places around us.

Our prices are (Season 2010)*:

Kajak or canoe: 
1-3 h - 10€ per person
1 day - 20€ (single), 30€ (double)
1 week – 100€ (single), 120 € (double)
 Including full equipments (baddle, life jacket, map...)

Transportation: 50€ + 60 cents per kilometer
Apartment: 1 night - 20€ per person (including shower, drinking water, central heating, kitchen and beautiful scenery).

Currently we can only accept cash päyments or Banktransfers in Euro.
